Adams and Clampitt Named C-USA Players of the Week

TULSA, Okla. - Sophomores Jessica Adams and Jordan Clampitt averaged 6.33 digs and 14.50 assists per set, respectively, to lead The University of Tulsa volleyball team to wins over UTEP and UCF last weekend, and were named the C-USA Players of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Adams, a native of Oklahoma City, Okla., was named the C-USA Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, while Clampitt, a Plano, Texas, native, earned her fifth C-USA Setter Award of the Season.
Adams averaged 6.33 digs per, totaling 38 digs and added four service aces and three assists in the two matches. Friday against UTEP, she tallied 15 digs (5.00 dig/s) with two aces and an assist. Sunday against UCF, she recorded 23 digs (7.67 dig/s) with two aces and two assists.
Clampitt averaged 14.50 assists per set, totaling 87 assists in six sets, and added 15 digs (2.50 dig/s) in the two matches. Friday against UTEP, she recorded 46 assists (15.33 a/s) and added seven digs. Sunday against UCF, she tallied 41 assists (13.67 a/s) with eight digs, and added a service ace and a block.
The 25th-ranked Golden Hurricane (23-2, 13-0 C-USA) continues it home stand this weekend, as it plays host to East Carolina Friday at 7 pm., and Marshall Sunday at 1 p.m.
