Tulsa Head Coach Doug Wojcik
Opening Statement...
"Memphis played a great game. They shot and they drove it. They did a great job especially in the first half. I thought Doneal Mack played really, really well. He was 7-of-9 [from the field], he posted up a little bit, didn't have a turnover and played really well as a senior. Angel Garcia, obviously we knew he was coming off an ACL [injury] and had one basket against Central Florida, but he had seven buckets against us. Elliot Williams is really good, so I don't have a problem there, and I thought we did a decent job on Wesley Witherspoon. But boy, those two guys really hurt us and they deserved to win."

On expending too much energy getting back into the game...
"I don't think that [we got physically wiped out]. I think that we have to have the toughness at that point to get the energy from the crowd. We have to break it down and say 'We're determined. We've fought through the low points from being 14 points down to a one-point lead. We need a stop here. We are going to get a defensive rebound.' We had several opportunities to get a defensive rebound and didn't come up with one."

On making the little plays that win games...
"We track loose balls, and we won the loose ball battle. We beat them by 28 [rebounds] on the glass and we had 20 offensive rebounds. We played the game with 11 turnovers and had 18 assists. The knock on us recently is that we can't score and we scored points. I think it came down to when we got to being even with 12 minutes in the game, then by gosh you have to make plays. Certain guys have to make plays and we just didn't do that."

Tulsa Senior Ben Uzoh
On Memphis' athleticism...
"They did a good job in transition. They were able to push it and get easy baskets. We credit them for that."

On how tough it is to digest this loss...
"It's really tough. Being at home, we had the community involved. Everybody was involved. It was just another opportunity, but we let it slip."

Tulsa Senior Bishop Wheatley
On TU digging out of holes this season...
"That hurts us when we get down like that in the first half. It hurts even more because we fought back. We were right there. We had the lead and gave it back up and they ended up getting us."

On this game being a gut-check going into the end of the season...
"We've just got to use this, bottle up and use it for the next three games we have, so we can succeed well in the conference and the conference tournament."

Memphis Head Coach Josh Pastner
Opening Statement...
"We played really well. Obviously, Tulsa is a very good basketball team. [They're] very well coached. They've got really good players. We were able to win tonight because we made shots and we won the 50/50 balls. The 50/50 battle, that was a big thing. I'm very, very proud of our players. They played so hard for 40 minutes. We beat a very good Tulsa team [They're] a very well-coached team with the third-longest home winning streak in the country, so to come into Tulsa a beat them is not easy to do."

On Angel Garcia's game...
"I've been telling everyone who would listen that Angel's our best shooter. He's one of our best players in practice. Before he got hurt, I thought he was going to be one of the toughest matchups in the country. When he got hurt, that was a blow to our team. We lost a starter and not a lot of people talked about that. We lost a pro. Our trainers, our strength coaches, did an unbelievable job getting him back."
