Tulsa Women's Tennis Downs Kansas State, 6-1

TULSA, Okla. - The 40th-ranked Tulsa women's tennis team won its fifth-straight match with a 6-1 victory over Kansas State on Sunday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Hurricane improves to 11-4 on the season, and Kansas State drops to 3-5.
The Hurricane cruised through doubles, winning all three matches in convincing fashion.
55th-ranked JoAnne Karaitiana and Alexandra Kichoutkin defeated Antea Hulijev and Nina Sertic, 8-2, in the No. 1 position, and 58th-ranked Anastasia Erofeeva and Ewa Szatkowska topped Karla Bonacic and Petra Chuda, 8-3, in the second flight.
Rebecca Row and Michelle Farley completed the doubles sweep with an 8-4 win over Carmen Borau Ramos and Ana Gomez Aleman in No. 3 doubles.
100th-ranked Alexandra Kichoutkin won her fifth-straight match with a 7-5, 6-3 decision over Antea Hulijev in No. 1 singles, and JoAnne Karaitiana picked up an easy 6-1, 6-1 win over Ana Gomez Aleman in the second position.
Anastasia Erofeeva outlasted Nina Sertic, 7-5, 6-4, in No. 3 singles, and Ewa Szatkowska won her fourth consecutive match with a 6-4, 6-1 victory against Carmen Borau Ramos in the No. 4 position. Michelle Farley breezed past Petra Chuda, 6-2, 6-2, in the fifth position to claim her sixth-straight win.
Karla Bonacic earned Kansas State's only point of the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Caroline Beaulieu in No. 6 singles.
The Hurricane is off until Saturday, March 13, when they host C-USA rival Rice at 11:00 a.m. at the Case Tennis Center.
