TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball team continues preparations for the 2010 season, and is now a full week into fall practice.

As practice continues the Golden Hurricane, with seven newcomers and seven returners, continues to become more familiar with each other.

"We're getting comfortable with one another," head coach Ed Allen said. "We're starting to get a better understanding of what we've got to do in terms of playing around one another. We're discovering each other's strengths and weaknesses in areas where we've got to compensate as a team."

Tulsa has worked in some scrimmage situations, running 6-on-6 competitions, and continuing to work on the team skills as they prepare for the season opener in less than two weeks.

The Golden Hurricane begins the 2010 season at the IPFW Invitational, Aug. 27-28. TU plays at the 2010 Asics Challenge in San Francisco on Sept. 3-4, and plays host to the Radisson Tulsa Airport Invitational Sept. 10-11 at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
