Senior Stars Earn Highest Career Rankings

SKILLMAN, N.J. - The University of Tulsa had its two senior members of the women's tennis team land spots in the Campbell/ITA Division I Women's Tennis Preseason Rankings, the organization announced.
Alexandra Kichoutkin was ranked No. 47 in singles, and the doubles tandem of Kichoutkin and Jo-Anne Karaitiana were ranked No. 21 in the country.
The singles ranking is a career best for Kichoutkin. She was ranked No. 71 at the end of the spring season, and her previous high came May 3 when she was ranked No. 66 in the nation.
The doubles team of Kichoutkin and Karaitiana matched their career-best ranking. They were also the No. 21-ranked team in the NCAA March 30. They ended the spring season ranked No. 53 in the country.
The first team rankings are scheduled to come out Jan. 4.
Tulsa is set to kick off its fall campaign with two tournaments this upcoming weekend. Kichoutkin and Karaitiana will travel to Midland, Texas, Sept. 17-19 to compete in the Midland Collegiate Invite.
The rest of the women's tennis team will travel to Memphis, Tenn., on the same days to take part in the Memphis Invite.
