Women's Tennis Starts 2010 Fall Campaign

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's tennis team will kick off the 2010 fall campaign at two separate tournaments Sept. 17-19.
Two members of the Golden Hurricane will travel to Midland, Texas, to compete in the Midland Collegiate Invitational, while the remaining members of the squad will travel to Memphis, Tenn., for the Memphis Invitational.
Seniors Alexandra Kichoutkin and Jo-Anne Karaitiana will be attending the event in Midland to compete in both singles and doubles action. Kichoutkin is currently ranked No. 47 in the country in singles, and the doubles team of Kichoutkin and Karaitiana are No. 21.
The seven TU women's tennis players who will be competing in Memphis are juniors Caroline Beaulieu, Anastasia Erofeeva, Ewa Szatkowska and Bonny Davidson; sophomores Meredith Burns (video interview) and Michelle Farley; and freshman Anamaria Candanoza.
In last year's Memphis event, the Golden Hurricane captured four singles titles and one doubles crown. Erofeeva won the Blue 2 singles flight and, Beaulieu captured the Blue 3 singles title.
Szatkowska won the Gray 2 singles championship, and the doubles team of Karaitiana and Kichoutkin won the White 1 flight.
