TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa sophomore Jordan Clampitt averaged 13.80 assists per set, leading the Golden Hurricane to its third straight tournament title, and earned the Conference USA Setter of the Week award, the league office announced Monday.

In leading TU to its eighth straight victory and the North Dakota State Doublewood Inn Classic championship, Clampitt raised her nation-leading assists-per-set average to 13.33 a/s for the season. This is Clampitt's second Setter of the Week award this season.

"We've been really pleased with Jordan's progression over last year and half," Tulsa head coach Ed Allen said. "She is becoming more confident leader of our offense and is doing a great job of managing the game. She consistently gives a solid effort every time she takes the floor. I think she has been successful as a setter because she is a quality kid and has a great work ethic."

Clampitt totaled 138 assists in the three matches, along with 27 digs, four service aces and a pair of blocks. Friday against South Dakota, she recorded 42 assists, seven digs and an ace, and against North Dakota State she grabbed a double-double, totaling 55 assists and 12 digs, with a pair of service aces. Saturday against North Dakota, Clampitt tallied 41 assists and eight digs with a pair of blocks and an ace.

The Golden Hurricane (9-2) opens C-USA play at Memphis Saturday and Sunday. Both games are scheduled for 1 p.m., and live stats will be available at www.TulsaHurricane.com.
