Silva Selected to C-USA All-Academic Volleyball Team

TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa junior outside hitter Diana Silva was named to the 2011 Conference USA All-Academic Volleyball Team, the league office announced Wednesday.
Silva, a native of Niteroi, Brazil, is a management information systems major and carries a 3.71 grade point average. She has been named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and earned Tulsa Dean's List honors. This season, Silva is averaging 3.30 kills per set, 3.40 digs per set, with a .210 attack percentage and 22 service aces. She was an All-Conference USA Second Team selection last season. This is Silva's first C-USA All-Academic Team selection.
The Golden Hurricane closes out the regular season n the road at SMU at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
