TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa volleyball team fell to UC Davis, 3-0 () Saturday evening in the Park Inn Hurricane Invitational at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
Junior Tyler Henderson had 14 kills and hit .433, while junior Jessica Adams had 15 digs for the Golden Hurricane (4-3). UC Davis improved to 6-1 on the season.
TU hit .248 as a team (43-14-117) with 43 kills, 41 assists, three service aces, 57 digs and 2.0 blocks. UC Davis hit .266 (55-18-139) with 55 kills, 48 assists, three aces, 48 digs and 3.5 blocks.
Sophomore Kellie Culbertson added 13 digs and junior Jordan Clampitt tallied 36 assists. Junior Diana Silva had 11 kills and seven digs, while Shelbi Pitcher added seven digs as well.
The Golden Hurricane returns to action next weekend, Sept. 9-10, at the Middle Tennessee Invitational. TU takes on Cal Poly at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and Middle Tennessee State at 10 a.m. and Illinois at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
