TULSA, Okla. - The No. 30-ranked University of Tulsa women's tennis team defeated the Kansas Jayhawks 7-0 Sunday afternoon at Case Tennis Center.

The Golden Hurricane (9-2) won its 31st-straight home match, while the Jayhawks (7-2) lost their second-straight match after starting the season 7-0.

Senior Anastasia Erofeeva won her 100th-career singles match, and fellow senior Ewa Szatkowska posted her second-career victory over a ranked opponent.

Action began strong for the home side as the top tandem of Erofeeva and Szatkowska defeated Dylan Windom and Maria Belena Ludueña 8-3 on the first doubles court.

TU secured the opening point of the match after junior Michelle Farley and freshman Isaura Enrique defeated Victoria Khanevskaya and Claire Dreyer 8-3 from the third court.

Senior Bonny Davidson and sophomore Samantha Vickers were unable to make it a clean sweep, as the No. 2 duo was defeated 8-5 by Monica Pezzotti and Paulina Los.

Davidson kicked off singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Khanevskaya on the sixth court, and No. 67-ranked Vickers topped Pezzotti 6-2, 6-2 on the top court.

Enrique clinched the team victory with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Windom at No. 4 singles, and No. 82-ranked Erofeeva handed Los a 6-3, 6-3 loss at the second flight.

Erofeeva became the third player in school history to win 100 career singles matches. She now sits nine victories shy of second place (Alexandra Kichoutkin, 2007-11) and 15 wins shy of the all-time record of 115 victories set by Aleksandra Durska (1999-03).

Earlier this season Erofeeva became the all-time winningest doubles player in TU history, and she now has 96 career doubles victories.

Farley picked up a 6-3, 6-1 triumph over Dreyer and is now 9-1 during the spring dual campaign.

Szatkowska made it 7-0 with the biggest win of the match, as she handed freshman Belena Ludueña (8-1) her first-collegiate loss. The Golden Hurricane came from behind to drop the No. 118-ranked Jayhawk 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8).

Szatkowska is now on a seven-match win streak, which is the longest of her storied career. She is also 10-1 during the dual season this spring.

The win over Ludueña was the second of Szatkowska's career over a ranked opponent and the first since she defeated No. 125 Carolin Weikard of Austin Peay on Sept. 20, 2010.

Tulsa will head to Lincoln, Neb., next weekend for two road matches. TU will first face Iowa on neutral grounds at 11 a.m. March 10. The Golden Hurricane will then face host Nebraska at 11:30 a.m. March 11.
