Tulsa Rowers Begin Season at Oklahoma Invitational

The Golden Hurricane will be racing in the Varsity 4+, Second Varsity 4+, Novice 8+, Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa rowing team will begin the 2012 season at the Oklahoma Invitational this Friday-Sunday, March 9-11, at the Exchange Boathouse on the Arkansas River in Oklahoma City, Okla.

"The OU Invite has been a great event for us the last two years," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "This regatta gives us a chance to race a lot of great regional crews to begin the season. Obviously we did well last year at the C-USA Championships against a lot of these crews, so our goal is to continue that progress. We are excited for the challenge and are ready to begin racing."

The Golden Hurricane will be racing in the Varsity 4+, Second Varsity 4+, Novice 8+, Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+. TU will compete against Central Oklahoma, Creighton, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma and SMU.
