Four Women's Tennis Advances to the Singles Main Draw

Qualifying Consolation Results 
NORMAN, Okla. - Four University of Tulsa women's tennis players advanced into the singles main draw at the USTA/ITA Central Regional in Norman, Okla., on Thursday.
Rongrong Leenabanchong, Marcelina Cichon, Renata Kuricova and Maria Sant'Anna won each of their matches to advance out of the qualifying round to give Tulsa eight players in the main draw singles that starts on Friday.
Leenabanchong defeated Iowa State's Samantha Budai 3-6, 6-4 1-0 (11) in the first round and Nebrasksa's Kati Matysova 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (7) in the second round of the qualifying round.
The freshman faces Haley Martin of Oral Roberts on Friday in the first round of the main draw.
Cichon defeated Raquel Argenal of UMKC 6-1, 6-1 in the first round and Maja Vujic of Minnesota 6-5, 6-4 in the second round of the qualifying round.
The freshman faces Morgan Chumney of Oklahoma on Friday in the first round of the main draw.
Kuricova defeated Beatriz Souza of South Dakota State 6-2, 6-0 in the first round and Livia Cimu of Kansas State 6-2, 6-1 in the second round of the qualifying round.
The sophomore faces Kelli Hine of Missouri on Friday in the first round of the main draw.
Sant'Anna defeated Maria Toro of St. Louis 6-2, 6-1 in the first round and Aria Lambert of Minnesota 6-0, 6-2 in the second round of the qualifying round.
The senior faces Monique Krutak of SIUE on Friday in the first round of the main draw.
Carol Benito fell to Julia Courter of Minnesota in the first round of the qualifying round. Benito defeated Lauren Wagner of Nebraska in the qualifying consolation draw 6-0, 6-0.
The Hurricane has two individuals ranked in the tournament, Samantha Vickers at No. 2 and Yelena Nemchen at No. 7, and has three doubles ranked in the tournament, Vickers and Enrique at No. 1, Cichon and Nemchen at No. 9-16 and Kuricova and Saarteinen also is ranked No. 9-16.
Vickers plays her first match of the tournament against Tereza Brichacova of Minnesota on Friday.
Nemchen plays her first match of the tournament against Satjaporn Mahjaroenkul of Wichita State.
Saana Saartienen plays her first match of the tournament against Lee of Southern Illinois on Friday, while Isaura Enrique plays against Megan McCray of Oklahoma State, who is seeded 9-16 in the tournament.
The doubles team of Vickers and Enrique receives a first round bye and doubles team of Cichon and Nemchen faces Melanie Marlin and Mariead Cleary of Oral Roberts in the first round of the doubles main draw.
TU's doubles team of Kuricova and Saarteinen faces Haley Martin and Marizanne Bouwer of Oral Roberts in the first round of the doubles main draw.
The Golden Hurricane also has one doubles team not ranked in the tournament. The doubles team of Leenabanchong and Sant'Anna faces No. 7-seed Julia Courter and Natallia Pintusava of Minnesota and
