Bohannon, El Houssine Earn All-Conference Awards

Erica Bohannon and Valerie El Houssine have both been named to the American Athletic Conference All-Conference Team, as Bohannon was named to the First Team, while El Houssine earned a Second Team nod, as announced by the conference office Monday.Bohannon, a member of the Preseason All-Conference Team, had a standout year for the Golden Hurricane. The sophomore outside hitter finished the season second in the conference, with 4.19 kills per set, while also finishing second in points per set, with 4.83.
Bohannon also ended the year in the top five of the league, with 0.32 service aces per set.
Bohannon took home the Offensive Player of the Week award on Nov. 17th, and was named to the conference Honor Roll (honorable mention for player of the week) on six separate occasions.
Bohannon earned her second postseason conference award, after she was named to the C-USA Second Team a season ago.
El Houssine earns her first all-conference postseason award since her arrival at TU, after concluding her senior season ranking fourth in the country and first in the American, with 0.52 service aces per set.
In conference play, despite missing the first three league matches of the season, El Houssine proved to be one of the leagues most dynamic players. The senior finished the year with 3.94 points per set (4th in the league), 3.25 kills per set (7th in the league), and 3.80 digs per set (11th in the league).
Earlier this season, El Houssine was named to the Capital One Academic First-Team All-District Volleyball Team.
