Tulsa Women Sit In 15th After Day Two

The University of Tulsa women's golf team shot a 308 Monday at the Furman University Golf Course to end round two of the Lady Paladin Invitational in 15th place with a two round total of 619.Paladin host Furman is currently atop the leaderboard with a 574 two-round total on their home par-72 course. Texas Tech and Wake Forest are currently sharing the second spot with 583 apiece.
Florida State and Kansas sit a little further back at 587 each, and tied for fourth-place to round out the top-five after the first two rounds of action.
Junior Antonia Von Wnuck had the best round of the day for the Hurricane, carding a 74 in the second round, which brings her total through 36 holes to 156. There are two other golfers tied with Von Wnuck in 66th-place, Tulsa senior Alex Haun and Lauren Court of Georgia State.
Junior Chanya Angwarawong had a stellar first round to kick off the invitational and kept up the good work on day two. The transfer hit birdies on holes 11, 17, and 8 to finish the day at 77. Her two-round score of 150 has her currently tied for 33rd place.
Nadia Majidizadeh and Franziska Voellinger both recorded scores of 80 on Monday giving them tournament totals of 159 and 160, respectively.
The top-three individuals are only separated by one stroke after day two. Taylor Totland from Furman had an excellent round Monday finishing four-under-par, and now sits in first with a 138 total. Just behind her at 139 are Jennifer Peng from Yale and Sierra Sims out of Wake Forest. The top-5 closes out with Gennai Goodwin from Texas Tech and Allison Emrey from Wake Forest who are locked at 142 apiece.
The final round of the Lady Paladin Tournament will get underway Tuesday morning at 8 am, with the Hurricane teeing off starting at 8 am CT. For live scoring through the last day of action click here.
