Laskutova Shines in First Round of Qualifying at Hilton Head

Laskutova will play in the second round tomorrow morningSept. 29, 2014 HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The University of Tulsa's Ksenia Laskutova won her opening round match in the qualifying draw of the The Shipyard Cup against Rebeeca Weissmann, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, on Sunday, in Hilton Head, S.C.

Laskutova will now take on Nicole Frenkel on Monday. Frenkel took care of business in her first round match, topping Madeleine Kobelt in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0.

The Hurricane will take on Frenkel after the 9:00 a.m. match on Court 8.
