TULSA POSTGAME NOTES AT EAST CAROLINA

• Tulsa wore black uniforms at East Carolina. It was the 10th time this season TU has worn black. TU is 8-2 in black uniforms this year.

• Junior guards Shaquille Harrison, Rashad Smith and James Woodard, and junior forward D'Andre Wright all started their 19th games of the season, and junior guard Marquel Curtis started his 14th game of the season.

• Harrison started his 86th career game, Woodard started his 82nd career game, Wright started his 48th career game, Smith started his 47th career game, and Curtis started his 15th career game.

• Harrison has started all 86 games in his career, Woodard has started 60 straight games, Wright has started 39 straight games, and Smith has started 24 straight games.

• Tulsa trailed at halftime for the seventh time this season, and first since Jan. 10 at Temple. TU is now 2-5 this year when trailing at the half.

• Tulsa increased its winning streak to nine in a row.

• The Hurricane improved its record to 7-0 in American Athletic Conference play, and its road record to 5-2.

• Tulsa's 7-0 conference record is its best start in league play since the 1984-85 team started league play 8-0.

• The Hurricane has now won five consecutive road games. It is the seventh time a TU basketball team has won five consecutive road games.

• Tulsa improved its record to 12-0 when it holds its opponent to fewer than 65 points, and 12-0 when it shoots better from the field than its opponent.

• Tulsa has won 18 games in a row against conference opponents, dating back to the 2013-14 season.

• East Carolina was the first conference opponent to score 60 points against Tulsa. The Hurricane had previously allowed no more than 58 points in any conference game this season, and in seven straight games overall.

• Shaquille Harrison recorded five assists Saturday, after tallying six assists against Memphis on Wednesday. It was the fourth time he has recorded at least five assists with no turnovers this season. He had five assists and zero turnovers against Abilene Christian (11/19), Oklahoma (12/13), and Memphis (1/21).

• With 13 points, Harrison extended his streak of games scoring in double digits to 13. Woodard scored 17 points, and has scored in double figures in nine straight contests.

• Brandon Swannegan recorded at least one block for the 15th game this season. He has a team-high 25 blocks this year, and 95 in his career, ranking eighth all-time at TU.

• With 17 points in the game, Woodard now has 1,208 points in his career, ranking 22nd on the Tulsa career scoring chart, one point behind 21st place Michael Ruffin (1,209 - 1995-99).

• Tulsa held East Carolina to a .411 field goal percentage. It was the 18th time in 19 games, and the 14th straight time TU has held its opponent under 50 percent from the field.

• Tulsa's 14-5 start is its best 19-game record since the 2009-10 team started 16-3.
