TULSA WOMEN GOLFERS IN 15th PLACE AT REBEL INTERCOLLEGIATE

Oxford, Mississippi - The Tulsa women's golf team carded a score of 309 in first round action at the Ole Miss Intercollegiate Friday afternoon. The Hurricane women sit in a 15th place tie with Mercer University at the par-72 Ole Miss Golf Course.
Junior Antonia Von Wnuck is in 48th place after turning in a round of 76 to pace the Hurricane on Friday, while Nadia Majidizadeh is one stroke back with a score of 77 for 56th place. The remaining three Tulsa golfers - Alex Haun, Chanya Angwarawong and Franziska Voellinger - are tied for 65th place with rounds of 78 in opening round action.
Furman leads the 18-team field after an opening round score of even-par 288, while Texas A&M (289), Fresno State (290), Kent State (292) and Tennessee (292) round out the top-five teams.
Kent State's Josee Doyon scored a three-under par 79 to sit atop the individual standings by one stroke over a group of five golfers tied for second place at two-under par 70.
Tulsa tees off from hole 10 at 9:00 am Saturday for second round action.
