Women's Tennis Set for Midweek Showdown at Kansas

TULSA, Okla. - The No. 74 University of Tulsa women's tennis will close out its 2015 regular season with a pair of road matches this week, starting with the Kansas Jayhawks on Wednesday, April 8, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.

The Golden Hurricane enters the week with a 12-9 record and is coming off a home split last week at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. TU defeated the Memphis Tigers by a 4-2 score, before dropping a heartbreaker to No. 28 Houston, 4-3. The split dropped the Hurricane three spots in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Poll.

Kansas comes into the week with a 7-10 record, while posting a 3-2 mark in Big 12 action. The Jayhawks have also split its last two matches, falling to The American's SMU on the road, 4-3, before topping Kansas State at home, 4-0.

The Hurricane has had nothing but success against the Jayhawks in recent years, beating KU in each of the last 12 matches. Tulsa has a 12-11-1 record in the all-time series against Kansas.

The two sides last met in 2014 in Tulsa, where the Hurricane bested the Jayhawks, 6-1, in front of its home fans.
