
Tulsa Rowers Ready to Race at Oklahoma

Hurricane to race seven boats in six events
The Tulsa rowers return to action in the Stone Family Cup, a duel against Oklahoma, this Saturday, May 2nd at the Exchange Boathouse on the Oklahoma City River in Oklahoma City. The regatta is set to begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 10:15 am.TU will race a Varsity 4+, 2nd Varsity 4+, 3rd Varsity 4+, Varsity 8+, 2nd Varsity 8+, 3rd Varsity 8+ and Lightweight 8+.
The winner of the Cup will be determined by the point system that follows:
"We are really excited to be initiating a home-and-home regatta with Oklahoma," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "It is always good to race for bragging rights in the state. Coach Crain has done a great job creating a top level rowing team and we are exited to be able to race them. We've created a cup race with this regatta, the Stone Family Cup. Sam and Susan Stone are the donors of the Cup. It is for the team champion between the two teams and we are looking for this to become a big event between the two schools for years to come."
