Tulsa Lightweights Finish Second in Petite Final at IRA National Championship

6/1/2015 12:25:00 PM | Rowing

The Tulsa Lightweight 4+ and Lightweight 8+ boats both earned second-place finishes in the Petite Final at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship at Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J.

"Both boats got better throughout the weekend, and as a head coach, that is what you want from your team," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "We competed well and I am proud of what these women were able to accomplish. I am sad that this was the last race for some of these women. They have taken the crew a long way in the last four years and what they leave behind is a legacy of lightweight rowing at Tulsa. Now we get ready to race in England at the Reading Amateur Regatta and Henley Women's Regatta in a few weeks."
