TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa women's tennis team has a pair of seniors in Renata Kuricova and Saana Saarteinen who come into the 2015-16 season ranked No.37 nationally in doubles play by the Oracle/ITA Division I Women's National Double Rankings. In doubles play Kuricova has totaled a 69-33 career record, and Saarteinen has posted a 56-28 career record.
The Golden Hurricane finished the 2014-15 season strong with wins over UCF, Tulane, and Houston in the American Athletic Conference Championship. The performance earned the team a trip to the NCAA Regionals where they face No.28 Rice and fell short 2-4.
The return of impact players, Kuricova and Saarteinen , give Tulsa a great opportunity to make it back to the NCAA Tournament. Tulsa begins its 2015-16 season by traveling to Norman, Okla. to compete in the OU Invite on Sept. 23-27.
