
Tulsa Volleyball to Wrap Up Conference Play on the Road

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Volleyball team will wrap up American Athletic Conference play this week as they head East for a pair of matchups beginning with UConn on Wednesday at 11 a.m. before taking on Temple on Friday at noon. The Hurricane (18-12, 7-11 The American) head into the final weekend of conference play in seventh place in the conference, but could finish as high as fifth depending on the results this week.
Tulsa holds a 4-1 all-time series lead over UConn heading into the match on Wednesday, having dropped their only match to the Huskies during their last meeting at the Reynolds Center on Oct. 9. UConn heads into the final two matches of conference play in eighth place, directly behind the Hurricane.
A match with third-place Temple is slated for Friday at noon in Philadelphia, Penn. as the Owls lead the all-time series over TU 4-1 having bested the Hurricane in three sets earlier in the season. The Owls are led by Irem Asci, who leads the conference in aces and sits second in kills per set with 4.46. As a team, Temple ranks atop The American in hitting percentage with .247.

HONOR ROLL...
Senior libero Brooke Berryhill was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for the second time this season after tallying 41 digs for an average of 5.13 per set over eight sets this weekend. Against Memphis on Friday, Berryhill recorded 10 digs in the opening set on her way to finishing with 24 digs, marking the 15th time this season that she has reached 20 or more digs in a contest.
RECORD SETTING DIGS...
The Hurricane racked up 156 digs over the weekend, allowing them as a team to move into fourth on TU's list for digs in a season with 2,127 after surpassing the 2015 (2,074) and 2011 (2,015) teams on the list. Nationally, Tulsa ranks fourth in digs per set and eighth in total digs while leading the conference in both categories. The 2012 team currently ranks ahead of the 2016 squad in third all-time with 2,349 digs in a season.
NCAA ACTIVE LEADERS...
Seniors Brooke Berryhill and Erica Bohannon rank among the top of all of Division I Volleyball in their statistical categories heading into their final weekend of conference play. Berryhill ranks second among active leaders in total digs with 2,239 while Bohannon ranks fourth in total attempts (4,774) and sixth in kills (1,711).
