No. 29 Tulsa Drops 4-2 Decision to No. 3 TCU

Tulsa's 29^th-ranked men's tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to third-ranked TCU on Tuesday night at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth, Texas. TU fell to 7-8 on the season, while the Horned Frogs moved to 11-2 overall.

Trevor Johnson and Jerry Lopez defeated TU's Juan Matias Gonzalez and Or Ram-Harel at the No. 2 doubles position, 6-3, to give TCU an early advantage, but the Golden Hurricane's Dominic Bechard and Carlos Bautista battled for a 7-5 win in the No. 3 slot to even up the doubles point. It all came down to the No. 1 position and Tulsa's 79^th-ranked duo of Dylan McCloskey and Matthew Kirby captured a 7-6 win over Hudson Blake and Reese Stalder to give TU the 1-0 advantage heading into singles play.

TCU's Jerry Lopez evened the score, 1-1, as he topped Carlos Bautista in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5, at the No. 3 position, and 48^th-ranked Guillermo Nunez put the Frogs up 2-1 with his win over Juan Matias Gonzalez, 7-6, 2-6, 6-4, in the No. 2 slot. Trey Daniel made the score 3-1 as posted a comeback win over Francois Kellermen, 5-7, 6-1, 6-4, in the No. 6 position.

Majed Kilani earned the only singles win for Tulsa as he recorded a 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 victory in the No. 5 slot, but TCU's 16^th-ranked Alex Rybakov defeated TU's 39^th-ranked Or Ram-Harel, 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 to give the Horned Frogs a 4-2 victory.

Dylan McCloskey's match against TCU's 109^th-ranked Eduard Nava did not finish.

Tulsa returns to action against Dartmouth on Tuesday, March 22^nd. Match time is set for 1:00 pm at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
