Tulsa Men’s Tennis Closes Regular Season at Home This Weekend

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis team, ranked 24th nationally, returns to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Friday, April 15, to take on American Athletic Conference foe and No. 19 ranked USF at 6:00 p.m. TU will face UCF on Sunday, April 17, at 1:00 p.m. in the final regular season scheduled match.
 
Before Friday's match, TU will recognize it's three seniors in Carlos Bautista, Matthew Kirby and Dylan McCloskey for all their career accomplishments and contributions to the program.
 
The Golden Hurricane (14-11 overall) is ranked in the top-25 for the eighth time this season. Tulsa is one of five American Athletic Conference teams that are ranked in the top-50 nationally including: USF (19), Tulsa (24), SMU (27), Tulane (28) and Memphis (38).
 
Junior Or Ram-Harel enters the weekend nationally ranked No. 53 in singles play, while seniors Dylan McCloskey and Matthew Kirby go into this weekend nationally ranked No. 75 in doubles play. Currently, freshman Majed Kilani is riding an eight-match winning streak in singles play.
 
The Hurricane has posted a 9-8 record against nationally ranked opponents this season. Friday's match against USF marks the fourth ranked opponent Tulsa will have faced this month. Out of the 27 scheduled matches this season 18 of them were against nationally ranked opponents.
 
In Friday's match, Tulsa will face a USF team that has compiled an overall 15-8 record this season. On Sunday, TU will take on a UCF team that has registered an overall 9-11 record this season.
