
Men's Tennis Set to Begin ITA Kick-Off Play Tomorrow

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Men's Tennis team is set to begin play at the ITA Kick-Off in Stillwater, Okla. tomorrow with a matchup against No. 14-ranked Kentucky. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m.
The Hurricane head into weekend play with a 4-2 record in dual matches while facing three top-20 opponents in three of the last five. Tulsa is receiving votes in the latest top-25 coaches poll after beating No. 4 Texas 4-3 in a tight match at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center last Thursday evening.
Majed Kilani was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week after going 2-0 with a win over No. 36 Yuya Ita of Texas 1-6, 7-5, 6-2. Or Ram-Harel added another singles win for Tulsa over a ranked opponent as he beat the Longhorns' sixth-ranked Christian Sigsgaard in straight sets.
Tulsa has taken the doubles point in five of six duals as Jarod Hing and Daniel Santos have an unblemished record in five completed matches.
Play at the ITA Kick-Off will wrap up on Saturday with a match against No. 13 Oklahoma State or No. 22 Columbia.
