Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team Hosts Memphis on Senior Night this Friday

The Tulsa women's soccer team will host Memphis in the final game of the season on Friday, October 27 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU will honor the seven seniors – Amanda Creason, Tana Dake, Rebecca Defer, Christina Holmes, Courtney McKeon, Eden Opie and Rachel Thun-Blankenship – after the game.

Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.

The Golden Hurricane has a 3-12-3 overall record, including a 1-6-1 mark in American Athletic Conference play. Tulsa is led by Thun-Blankenship with a team-best four goals and four assists for 12 points. Addyson Guthrie adds three scores, while Holmes and Danielle Hoover each have two goals. Defer and McKeon have combined for 150 saves on the season.

Memphis enters the contest with a 10-5-2 overall record and a 4-2-2 mark in league play. The Tigers are led by three players with 22 points: Elizabeth Woerner with 10 goals and two assists, Mikayla Morton with eight goals and six assists, and Marie Levasseur with seven goals and eight assists. Rachel Ashworth Shepard has played the majority of minutes in goal and has 51 saves and four clean sheets.

The Tigers have an 8-2-2 lead in the all-time series with Tulsa and picked up 4-0 win last season in Memphis.
