Volleyball Adds Three to 2018 Recruiting Class

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa volleyball team and Head Coach Ryan Wills announced the addition of three players to the 2018 recruiting class on Tuesday.

"Tulsa volleyball is excited to add this class to our program," said Coach Wills. "This 2018 class adds an athletic group that are winners. Elyse, Hannah and Leslie are all the kind of people we want in our program to help build something special."

Hannah Overmyer, a Kingwood, Texas, native is a four-year letterwinner from Kingwood Park High School. She has been a team captain for three seasons. The setter was named to the First Team All-District for her first three seasons. Overmyer was the District 21-5A Newcomer of the Year for her freshman season. In her sophomore season, she was named the District 21-5A Most Valuable Player. At the conclusion of her junior year, Overmyer was named to the 5A All-State Team. In the summer of 2017, she was a member of the Houston Juniors, which won the USA Volleyball National Championship. Overmyer was named the MVP of the USA Volleyball National Championships. Accolades have not been announced for her senior season. Along with success on the court, Overmyer has been named to the All-Academic team for District 21-5A for her first three seasons. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Best Buddies Organization, and was Student of the Month twice.

The next member of the 2018 class is Elyse Savadove. Savadove is a Frisco, Texas, native that attended Dr. Justin Wakeland High School. The middle hitter was a first-team all-district selection three times. She was a member of the 2017 GJNC 17 Open National Championship team. During her senior campaign, Savadove appeared in 117 sets, accumulated 644 receptions, tallied 531 kills, maintained a .233 hitting percentage, collected 285 digs, 40 total blocks, nine solo, 26 service aces, and 16 assists. She is the career record holder for total blocks at Wakeland High School. Savadove was named the 2016 Offensive Player of the Year. Off the court, she has been named to the academic all-district team for three seasons.

The final member of the 2018 class is Leslie Wolff. Wolff is from Trinity Christian Academy in Plano, Texas. She ranked first in TAPPS with 571 digs. She averaged 7 digs per set. Wolff was named to the first-team all-district in 2016. She was awarded Second-Team All-State in 2016. She earned the best defensive player for 2015 and 2016 for her school. She was a second-team all-district selection in 2015. Wolff was named the best defensive players on her club team from 2012 through 2015. She was a member of a team that finished second at Nationals in the National Division.
