Volleyball Hosts Two Conference Opponents This Weekend

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa will be at home for two American matchups against No. 21 Wichita State on Friday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. and against Memphis on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m.

Wichita State leads the overall series, 29-12. The Shockers knocked off the Golden Hurricane, 3-0 (26-24, 25-11, 25-12), earlier this season. The Shockers have remained unbeaten in conference play. On Friday, they defeated ECU, 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-14), before they knocked off Cincinnati on Sunday, 3-0 (25-10, 25-22, 25-20). Emily Hiebert leads the team with 1,044 assists, which is second in the conference. Abbie Lehman leads Wichita State with 121 total blocks, which is third in The American.

The Hurricane leads the overall series against Memphis, 14-11. Earlier this year, Tulsa defeated the Tigers, 3-1 (23-25, 25-14, 25-18, 25-18). Brianna Kadiku leads the Tigers with 122 total blocks, which is tied for first in the conference. Tai Bierria leads Memphis with 233 kills.
