Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team Announces 2017 Spring Schedule

The Tulsa women's soccer team will play an eight-game spring schedule, all of which will be played at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, as announced today by head coach Kyle Cussen.
The Golden Hurricane recorded an 8-10-1 overall mark, posted 34 goals and had two shutouts last season. Junior Rachel Thun was tabbed as the American Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year, while Thun and Tana Dake were named to the all-conference team, and Anna Williams was selected to the All-Rookie Team.
Tulsa will begin the spring campaign with games against intrastate rivals Oklahoma State and Oklahoma on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5, respectively, with both games set for a 6:00 pm start. The Cowgirls tallied nine wins and played in the First Round of the NCAA Championship, while the Sooners recorded 14 wins and advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament a year ago.
On April 1, TU will host both Kansas State and TCU with games at 11:30 am and 3:00 pm, respectively. The Wildcats had just four wins in their inaugural season and the Horned Frogs earned 12 victories last year.
Southwestern Oklahoma State and UMKC come to town on Saturday, April 8 for a pair of games at 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. Last season the Bulldogs had 12 wins and the Kangaroos tallied eight victories.
Tulsa will play their last two spring contests on Saturday, April 15 against Central Oklahoma at 11:00 am and Little Rock beginning at 4:00 pm. The Bronchos earned 15 wins and advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Division II Championship, while the Trojans has 12 victories last season.
TU will also host an 8v8 Alumni Event to close out the season on April 22.
