Women's Tennis Downs Temple at Home, 5-2

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Women's Tennis team won their 12th match of the season as they defeated Temple 5-2 on Sunday afternoon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The Hurricane swept all three doubles matches to open play as Ksenia Laskutova and Martina Okalova earned a 6-2 win over Yana Khon and Monet Stuckey Willis while Rongrong Leenabanchong and Martha Matoula earned their 15th win of the year with a 6-2 triumph over Anais Nassaume and Mariana Bedon. Marcelina Cichon and Mahitha Dadireddy won the No. 3 doubles match over Alina Abdurakhimova and Dina Karina 6-3.
Tulsa secured the win in singles play, taking four of the six matches in straight sets. Laskutova took the win at the No. 1 singles spot with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Abdurakhimova while Okalova dominated the second set against Yana Khon at No. 4 en route to a 6-4, 6-0 win.
Dadireddy trailed Karina at No. 3 singles in the second set 2-1 before rallying to win the second in a 6-3, 6-3 win. Cichon took another point for Tulsa at the No. 5 spot while not dropping a single game in a 6-0, 6-0 win over Nassaume.
The Hurricane will wrap up their three match homestand tomorrow as they play host to No. 13-ranked Baylor at 5 p.m.
