Men’s Tennis Opens Up The American Championships Tomorrow Against UCF

The University of Tulsa Men's Tennis team will open up play at the American Athletic Conference Tennis Championships tomorrow at 11 a.m. against No. 31-ranked UCF. The Hurricane (10-16 Overall) enters the weekend as the six-seed while the Knights are the third-seed for the tournament. The semifinals will be held on Saturday with the conference champion being crowned on Sunday afternoon.

Tulsa defeated UCF 4-3 in their only meeting this season, rallying from down 3-1 behind late wins from Daniel Santos, Majed Kilani, and Mitchell Pritchard.

Senior Or Ram-Harel heads into his final conference tournament as the No. 28-ranked player in the country with a 10-11 singles record and a 5-7 mark against nationally ranked competition. Ram-Harel and Majed Kilani are ranked 45^th nationally in doubles play with a 12-6 record in dual play.

The Hurricane owns a 26-4 record at conference tournaments dating back to 2007 and finished as the runner-up last season for the second consecutive year in The American. Tulsa's last conference tournament championship came in Conference-USA as they took the crown by blanking Tulane 4-0 on TU's home court.
