Tulsa Volleyball’s Horsfall Earns Second Weekly Honor Roll Nod

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa volleyball junior DS/L Taylor Horsfall has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the conference has announced on Monday.
Horsfall's bid marks the second time she's earned a spot on the weekly honor roll this season. Her other nod came on Sept. 3, while she was also named the American Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 1.
Her laurel comes after another strong weekend on the back line for Tulsa, tallying 39 digs on a lofty 5.57 digs per set mark for the weekend. Horsfall racked up 22 digs in the match against Temple, to go along with 17 digs and a service ace in Sunday's match with UConn.
The Golden Hurricane completed a weekend sweep with a 3-0 win over SMU on Friday and a 3-1 decision over UConn on Sunday. The team remains third in the American Athletic Conference, boasting a 16-7, 8-3 record this season, to go along with a 10-1 home record in 2018.
Another stiff test awaits head coach Ryan Wills' bunch next weekend, as the squad travels to Greenville, North Carolina, for a match with ECU on Nov. 2 and Cincinnati, Ohio, for a match with Cincinnati on Nov. 4.
