Tulsa found itself trailing 5-2 in the first set, but managed to rally and tie the match at 5-all. After holding serve, Virginia managed to edge out Okalova and Ploner in the tiebreaker set, 7-6(4).

The TU tandem struggled to find its rhythm in the second set, as Virginia clinched the set and match, 6-2.

For the tournament, Ploner and Okalova managed a respectable 3-2 record among the nation's best at the National Fall Championships.
