Golden Hurricane Set for Final Regular-Season Weekend

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa volleyball squad (18-9, 10-5) is scheduled for its final regular-season weekend of 2018 this weekend, traveling to take on UConn on Friday, Nov. 16 and Temple on Sunday, Nov. 18.
The Golden Hurricane's first match of the weekend pits it against UConn (13-15, 5-10), who sits at eighth in the conference. Tulsa owns a lofty 8-1 record all-time against the Huskies, including a 3-1 victory over them this season.
TU's second test of the weekend comes in the form of Temple (6-21, 3-12), who currently sits at eleventh in the conference. Head coach Ryan Wills' bunch owns a 2-7 record in program history versus the Owls, but swept them once this season at home.
Tulsa holds steady at 10-5 and fourth in the American Athletic Conference. The Golden Hurricane is on pace to finish with the best record under Wills' now five-year tenure.
As a team, TU wrapped up its 2018 home slate with a lofty 11-2 mark inside the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The record included a perfect 3-0 showing at the Tulsa Volleyball Invitational, seven AAC victories and a non-conference win over North Texas.
The team will play its final regular-season match of the season in a midweek matchup at Wichita State, scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 21.
