Laskutova Earns American Player of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference announced its weekly honors for tennis on Tuesday and Tulsa's Ksenia Laskutova earned the Women's Player of the Week.
Laskutova was a key cog in the Golden Hurricane's upset of No. 16 Baylor, which snapped a 21-match home winning streak. At the No. 1 position, Laskutova and Martha Matoula went up against Angie Shakhraichuk and Dominika Sujova. Laskutova and Matoula pulled away with a 6-3 victory, clinching the doubles point for TU.
At the No. 1 singles position, Laskutova won the first stanza, 6-1, against Sujova. In the second, Laskutova matched the first set with a 6-1 victory and put Tulsa on top of Baylor 2-0.
