Golden Hurricane Travels to New Orleans for Two Matchups this Weekend

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa women's tennis team will be on the road, as it travels to Louisiana for matchups against the SMU Mustangs on Friday, March 23, and the Tulane Green Wave on Saturday, March 24. The Golden Hurricane has won two in a row and is coming off of a 7-0 victory against then No. 27 Wichita State.
Tulsa, now 14-3 on the season, has jumped into the No. 23 spot in the latest ITA ranking that came out on Tuesday. The Hurricane features two players ranked inside the top-125, Ksenia Laskutova at the No. 75 spot and Martina Okalova ranked No. 109.
The match against SMU (8-7) will begin at 10 a.m. This will be the first meeting since the 2013-14 season, which Tulsa won, 7-0.
First serves for the TU and Tulane (8-8) match are scheduled for 12 p.m. The Golden Hurricane have won the last two meetings, which took place back in 2015-16, 4-0 in the regular season and 4-1 in the first round of the conference tournament.
