Tulsa Falls to No. 24 Baylor, 4-0

WACO, Texas – The Golden Hurricane was in action Friday as it traveled to the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center. Tulsa (10-13) fell to No. 24 Baylor (15-4), 4-0.

The No. 6 ranked duo of Will Little and Johannes Schretter bested Joshua Goodger and Jarod Hing, 6-3 in the No. 1 doubles match. The No. 38 tandem of Constantin Frantzen and Akos Kotoroman claimed a 6-0 victory against Lucca Baptista and Majed Kilani in the No. 2 doubles match. Baylor held a 1-0 lead as the match headed to singles play.

Svan Lah defeated Louis Corker, 6-2 and 6-1, to claim the first singles point for the Bears. The No. 39 ranked Schretter made the match 3-0, when he knocked off Baptista in the No. 3 singles match, 6-1 and 6-1. Bjoern Petersen, ranked No. 63, secured the Baylor win, as he claimed a 6-2 and 6-3 victory, against the No. 81 ranked Goodger.

With the loss, Tulsa fell to 10-13 on the season. The Golden Hurricane returns to the courts on Sunday, March 25, against the No. 12 Texas Longhorns in Austin. The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
