TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa women's tennis team is headed to Stillwater, for a matchup with the No. 34 LSU Tigers. The NCAA first round will take place on Friday, May 11 at the Greenwood Tennis Center at 1 p.m.

This season marks the 12th consecutive time that the Hurricane has made the NCAA Tournament and the 13th time in program history. Tulsa has advanced to the second round five times under Head Coach Dean Orford.

"The pressure was off of us, having the ranking we had and winning the conference tournament," said Coach Orford. "It's always fun to see where we're going to go."

Last season, the Golden Hurricane lost a heartbreaker in the first round to LSU, 4-3. First-round times will be announced at a later date. LSU is led by the No. 53 ranked Eden Richardson, the No. 65 ranked Elyse Lavender, the No. 92 ranked Jessica Golovin, and the No. 114 ranked Ryann Foster. The pair of Golovin and Richardson is the No. 29 ranked doubles team in the country.
