GREENVILLE, S.C.– The University of Tulsa's Lorena Tseng made a push to win medalist honors at the Lady Paladin Invitational with a final round of 4-under par 68, but the freshman fell two shots short and finished in second place on Sunday afternoon at the par-72 Furman University Golf Course.

As a team, the Hurricane carded a final round 296 for a 54-hole total of 894 to finish in 11thplace. Host Furman claimed the team title with an 856 score.

Today, Tseng shot a bogey-free round, just like she did in first round action when she also carded a 4-under par score. She finished the tournament with a 7-under par 209 total, placing second to Furman's Haylee Harford, who had a three-round total score of 9-under par 207.

Starting the final round on hole 10, Tseng had birdies on the par-5 4thhole and then after making the turn, carded birdies on the par 5 2ndhole and back-to-back birdies on the par-3 4thand the par-4 5thhole.

For Tseng, she has now placed among the top-5 in her first two collegiate tournaments for the Hurricane.

Tulsa senior Olivia Jackson saved her best round for the final 18 holes as she carded a one-under par 71 to finish in 48thplace overall in the field of 90 golfers. Jackson had six birdies on the day, but suffered a triple-bogey on the par-4 6thhole.

Freshman Shaelee Scarberry finished in 65thplace with a score of 78 today for a 229 total score, followed by sophomore Taylor Dobson in 72ndplace and freshman Jasmine Zhang in 73rdplace. Dobson finished with a score of 234, and Zhang was one shot back with a 235 total.

Tulsa will be back in action, Oct. 5-7, at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Denver, Colorado.
