Tulsa Volleyball's Taylor Horsfall Earns Third American Honor Roll Bid

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa's Taylor Horsfall was named to the American Athletic Conference's Weekly Honor Roll, announced by the league office on Monday. This is the third time this season that the senior defensive specialist/libero has earned a spot on the conference's honor roll. It's also the seventh time of the campaign that the league office has recognized Horsfall for her performance on the court.
A native of Houston, Texas, Horsfall averaged 8.83 digs per set for a total of 53 digs over the weekend. She also had eight assists and three service aces.
She started the week off with 22 digs against USF, as the Tulsa volleyball team secured its third sweep of the season vs. the Bulls on Friday, 3-0 [25-14, 25-13, 25-22]. She then chipped in 31 digs in a loss to UCF on Sunday, 3-0 [17-25, 13-25, 23-25]. It marked the 12th time in her career, where she totaled 30+ digs in a contest. It's also the most digs in a three-set match at TU since at least 2002.
Horsfall ranks fourth in Division I and leads The American in digs per set (5.91) and sits third nationally and second in the conference in total digs (473). She also stands fourth in service aces in The American with 29.
The Golden Hurricane begin a four-game road trip on Friday, Oct. 25, at Temple. The match is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
