Tulsa Men's Tennis Captures Four Wins on Day Two of ITA Central Regional Championships

NORMAN, Okla. -Â The Tulsa men's tennis team captured four wins on Friday at the ITA Central Regional Championships. The championships, which are being hosted by Oklahoma and played at the Headington Family Tennis Center, feature 16 teams from across the region.
For the second consecutive day, the Golden Hurricane saw their matches delayed due to inclement weather. With wet weather conditions, all participants competed on the six courts inside the Headington Family Tennis Center.
Daniel Siddall and Ezequiel Santalla played their second career match together, improved to 2-0 this year. They defeated Minnesota's Daniel Martin and Sebastian Vile, 8-4.
In the singles main draw, the Golden Hurricane secured three spots in the Round of 32.
Santalla was quickly back in action following his doubles match, playing against Minnesota's Daniel Martin. The 22nd seed paced to a 6-0, 6-1 win over the Gopher.
Kody Pearson improved to 2-2 in singles play in 2019 with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Wichita State's Alex Richards. Stefan Hampe also moved on to the next round with a three-set win over Creighton's Joe Huff 6-4, 5-7, 7-5.
