Golden Hurricane Set to Welcome Drake on Saturday

, Okla. – University of Tulsa men's tennis (10-8) will play host to Drake (13-7) for the team's 11th home match of the season, with first serve set for 10 a.m. CT on Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
 
The Bulldogs enter Saturday riding a two-match win streak, nabbing two wins over Western Michigan and Michigan State on the team's road trip. Drake boasts two players in the ITA singles top-80, in the form of Vinny Gillespie at No. 57 and Tom Hands at 78th. The team's duo of Gillespie/Thorold is also ranked No. 52 in the Oracle ITA doubles rankings.
 
The Golden Hurricane enters the match on the back of the team's second top-25 victory of the season, defeating No. 23 Oklahoma State on Wednesday, 4-3. TU is led by senior captain Majed Kilani, who is ranked No. 52 nationally in solo play. Tulsa also put a duo on the latest doubles rankings, as Joshua Goodger and Boriss Kamdem check in at No. 78 by the Oracle ITA.
 
TU is led in singles by freshman Kody Pearson. The Sydney, Australia, native has already earned an American Athletic Conference Player of the Week nod, and Pearson boasts a 13-4 mark in solo play to pace the Golden Hurricane.
