TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis squad (13-10) will play host to Temple (10-6) on Sunday, with first serve set for 11 a.m. CT at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The Owls enter the day riding a five-match win streak, picking up a win over ORU yesterday. Temple is led by its No. 58-ranked doubles tandem of Alberto Caceres Casas and Mark Wallner, while the team overall boasts a 10-6 mark.
Both teams haven't met since March 5, 2017, in which the Golden Hurricane nabbed a 5-2 victory in Tulsa. The Owls took the doubles point, but TU rattled off five of six singles matches to secure the win.
The Golden Hurricane enters the match on the back of a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Memphis in a midweek match at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. TU is led by senior captain Majed Kilani, who is ranked No. 73 nationally in solo play.
Tulsa also put two duos on the latest doubles rankings, as Joshua Goodger and Boriss Kamdem check in at No. 66 and Jarod Hing and Kamdem at No. 88 by the Oracle ITA standards.
TU is led in singles by freshman Kody Pearson. The Sydney, Australia, native has already earned an American Athletic Conference Player of the Week nod, and Pearson boasts a 15-7 mark in solo play to pace the Golden Hurricane.
