Tulsa Freshman Lorena Tseng Opened Play at NCAA Norman Regional Monday

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Tulsa freshman golfer Lorena Tseng opened play today at the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships – Norman Regional.
 
Tseng, starting on hole 10 at the par-72 Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club, carded a round of 3-over par 75 and sits in a 54th-place tie following first round action Monday. Tseng had a strong finish to her opening round with birdie putts on the par-5 8th hole and the par-4 9th hole
 
Regional play continues Tuesday and closed out on Wednesday with the final 18 holes. Tseng will tee-off at 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday from hole #10.
 
The Norman Regional is one of four regional tournaments as each one includes 18 teams and six individuals. Tseng is one of the six golfers competing as an individual at the Norman Regional.
 
A total of 24 teams and 12 individuals combined from the four regional sites will advance to the national championships to be played May 17-22 at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
