TULSA, Okla. –– Mariah Brim, a 6'6" outside hitter, has transferred to Tulsa from Florida State University, it was announced today by Golden Hurricane volleyball coach Ryan Wills.

Brim enters Tulsa as a sophomore and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining with the Hurricane.

"We are very excited to add Mariah to our program. She has been playing at a high level the last few years which will help with her transition to the American Athletic Conference. Mariah can be an elite level blocker who can be a game changer in our league. Tulsa is a team built on the foundation of defense and she can help that cause greatly."

Brim spent the past two seasons at Florida State after an outstanding prep career at Aquinas High School in Kansas City, Missouri. At FSU, Brim red-shirted in 2017 and last year established herself as one of the Seminoles' best defenders.  She played in 47 sets and totaled 41 blocks, while compiling a season-high seven total blocks against Clemson.

In high school, Brim totaled 349 kills, 136 blocks and had a .246 hitting percentage in her two prep seasons. She tallied 215 kills and 89 blocks as a senior.
