FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Three Golden Hurricane played in the Legacy National Bank NWA Tennis Series on Monday at Arkansas's Billingsley Tennis Center. The single-elimination tournament is part of the ITF World Tennis Tour.

Tulsa freshmen Juan Pablo Cenoz and Ezequiel Santalla each advanced to another day of competition. Cenoz, the No. 4 seed in the tournament, captured a 6-3, 7-6(4) win over Nicholas Kamisar. Santalla, who is the No. 8 ranked player in the tournament, defeated Eric Morris, 6-3, 6-4.

Sophomore Kody Pearson, the No. 7 seed in the tournament, fell to William Woodall, 6-7 (2), 6-3 [10-4].

Competition resumes on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
