Taylor Horsfall Tallies Second American Weekly Honor Roll Bid

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa's Taylor Horsfall was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the second consecutive week, as announced by the conference on Monday.
A native of Houston Texas, the libero was recognized for her performance for the week of Sept. 8, as the Golden Hurricane went 3-1 in competition. She received Tulsa Invitational All-Tournament Team honors, joining teammate Callie Cook. During the Tulsa Invitational, the libero recorded a career-high four service aces, to go with 14 assists in Tulsa's nightcap match against UTSA.
The next day, she totaled four service aces again and chipped in 24 digs vs. SIUE. In Friday's home opener vs. Houston Baptist, she totaled two service aces and 13 digs.
Horsfall started the week with a game-high 25 digs vs. crosstown rival Oral Roberts. The senior led all players in digs in TU's three wins. She has now tallied double-digit digs in 23 consecutive matches.
She currently ranks third in the American Athletic Conference and 19th nationally in digs per set, averaging 5.16. Her 196 total digs rank second in the conference. Horsfall is also among The American leaders in total service aces, ranking third with 15 total service aces.
Tulsa heads to Western Kentucky this weekend for the WKU Volleyball Invitational. The two-day tournament gets underway on Friday, Sept. 20 at 1:00 p.m. vs. Samford.
