Cenoz Drops Singles Main Draw to Abohabaga 6-3, 6-2

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Tulsa freshman Juan Pablo Cenoz suffered a 6-3, 6-2 defeat to Egypt's Sherif Abohabaga in the first round of the singles main draw on Wednesday at the Legacy National Bank NWA Tennis Series.
The series, which is part of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour, features a single-elimination tournament that is being held at the Billingsley Tennis Center at Arkansas.
Cenoz started the week making his way through the qualifying draw. He ultimately won the tiebreaker point in his third-round match on Tuesday 6-3, 3-6 [10-7] against Diego Nava of the United States to make the round of 32.
The men's tennis team will begin preparation for the Norman Open Series Men's 25K. The series, which is part of the ITF World Tennis Tour, takes place Sept. 30-Oct. 6 at the OU Tennis Club at Oklahoma.
