Tulsa Women’s Soccer Adds Two to 2020 Roster

Tulsa women's soccer head coach Kyle Cussen announced today the addition of two players for the 2020 roster, including graduate transfer Emma Malsy and incoming freshman Ramona Naghi.
Malsy, a 5-11 goalkeeper from Westminster, Calif., was a two-year letterwinner at Kansas State (2018-19) and a one-year letterwinner at Arizona State (2016). In her career, she has logged over 3,000 minutes in goal, picked up 156 saves and recorded 11 shutouts while starting in 33 of 34 games played. She was also a four-year letterwinner at Ocean View High School, making four CIF appearances. Malsy was tabbed as the 2016 Golden West League Defensive Player of the Year and OVHS Defensive Player of the Year, and earned the OVHS Team Leadership Award that same year. Malsy played club soccer for the So Cal Blues for four years, claiming two ECNL regional championships and making two ECNL National Championship appearances.
"Emma give us experience and leadership at the goalkeeper position," Cussen said. "She also brings with her a higher level of maturity, both on and off the field, and we're excited to have her join our program. She will be a great fit for us."
A 5-7 defender from Monte Grimano Terme, Italy, Naghi played club soccer for the San Marino Academy and Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Montefeltro each for seven years. She also participated in the U19 women's regional championship for four years, as well as competed in the Italian Cup against A.S. Roma. Naghi helped her team capture the 2016-17 City of Peace International Tournament at Rovereto, and earned a second-place finish in Beppe Viola National Tournament at Arco di Trento.
"Ramona has played at one of the top levels in Italy, bringing additional international experience to our program," Cussen said. "She is a very solid defender, but can play multiple positions, and has the ability to score goals if needed."
