TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa football team was back on Harwell Field in shorts and shoulder pads for another two-hour practice session on Monday morning.

"Honestly, when we started certain segments of practice, I thought one side of the ball during our first set of plays really had the momentum and executed at a high level," said Tulsa Head Coach Philip Montgomery. "Then, in the next set, you could tell the other side really picked up their intensity and level of play and challenged the other side."

"That's what you want to see in practice right now," added Montgomery. "I thought we did a good job of that and it was on both sides of the ball. It was a really, really good back-and-forth as we went through the rest of practice."

"It's the fourth straight day of practice and bodies are sore, but I thought our energy level just continued to pick up as practice went on. Our guys really finished on a high note," said Montgomery.

Tulsa will have its first off day of preseason camp on Tuesday before returning to the practice field Wednesday morning.
